About Us
We live in a loud and confusing world. A thousand voices, a thousand versions of the truth, and most of us are just tired -tired of noise, tired of pretending, quietly wondering what is actually real.
Spera in Deo exists for that person. The name is Latin -hope in God -taken from the Psalms, where a man talks honestly to his own downcast soul and tells it where to look:
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul?... hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him." - Psalm 42:11
That's the whole heart of this place. In a world full of confusion, I want to talk about the real truth -about God the Father, about the Holy Spirit, and about our Saviour Jesus Christ. Not religion for religion's sake. Not complicated theology that leaves you more lost than when you started. My aim is to take the things that feel too deep or too distant and bring them down to where you actually live -to reality, to your ordinary Monday, to the dark seasons and the quiet questions.
I'll be honest with you: I don't have all the answers, and I'm not going to pretend to. I'm a fellow traveller, not a finished man. But I'm praying -genuinely praying -that as I write, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, meets you in these words and guides you into what is real (John 16:13).
If something here helps you see God a little more clearly, or breathe a little easier, or take one step closer to Jesus -then this blog has done exactly what it was made to do.
Welcome. Let's seek the truth together.
